Spa Hotel Taigakukan is a small family run hotel located near the Happo One ski resort. The rooms are largely Japanese style, but there are a few Western style and mixed options to choose from. The onsite bar serves sake and imported wines, and the restaurant offers seasonal Japanese and Western dishes. There are both indoor and outdoor hotprings to have a soak in after a day on the slopes.

The hotel provides a free shuttle to the ski hill, and there is free parking available. There is also a quaint mini-museum where guests can learn about the history of skiing in Japan and Hakuba. Internet is onsite and various cafes, restaurants, and shops in the Hakuba village are also nearby. There is a free pickup from the Hakuba train or bus station.
